August is kind of a slow lazy month and so is this calendar’s page. The main picture is from the time on Santa Cruz beach, Also the small one on the right was from the final sun set. The smaller photo is from the salt water marsh by Fremont CA, taken on the same trip as last month’s Calendar Picture […]
With the recent purchase of the Leica D-LUX, I thought it was time to part with my old Nikon N1 cameras (J1 and J5) and lenses. Off to Ace Photo to see the value, and Mo did me very well. Trade in and a bit of money out of my pocket, not only did I leave with the Battery Grip […]
Out for a quick walk tonight with Joan and the Dogs. Using the new Leica D-LUX. GREAT carry around camera, and a big Thank YOU to ACEPHOTO for not only the help understanding what I was getting before the purchase, but for having it in stock. Amazon is great, but not as good as dropping into a local camera store and […]
July 28, 2018. As a treat I went to buy a Leica. If you know the brand, you might be thinking WOW, but it is the D-LUX, not a M10 or Q. Still enjoying a simple fixed lens camera. First photo from it will be on this post. Unedited, just from RAW to JPEG in Lightroom.
Playing around with a few new WordPress plug-ins. Not sure how to get rid of the water marking that my plug in to stop downloading added. This will be a growing collection of photos of Joan and my morning walks.
July 4, 2018 I finally got around to integrating the new plug in for Indigo to integrate with Alexa. Still working through a few issues trying to control items that are not actual lights. A few lights that I set up and one light scene work GREAT. Alexa, turn on Kitchen Turns on the Kitchen florescent light, and Alexa, turn […]

I wanted to drop by the place that was the birth of Santa Cruz Operation (SCO). A software company based in Santa Cruz, California which was best known for selling three Unix variants […]
This months photos are of the Blue Heron, common over most of North America. This should not be confused with a herring, or a herring choker (A native or resident of any of the Maritime Provinces but especially used in reference to people from New Brunswick. Or Norway.) The large photo Joan and I took on a bike ride […]
