Out for a quick walk tonight with Joan and the Dogs. Using the new Leica D-LUX. GREAT carry around camera, and a big Thank YOU to ACEPHOTO for not only the help understanding what I was getting before the purchase, but for having it in stock. Amazon is great, but not as good as dropping into a local camera store and […]
July 28, 2018. As a treat I went to buy a Leica. If you know the brand, you might be thinking WOW, but it is the D-LUX, not a M10 or Q. Still enjoying a simple fixed lens camera. First photo from it will be on this post. Unedited, just from RAW to JPEG in Lightroom.
Playing around with a few new WordPress plug-ins. Not sure how to get rid of the water marking that my plug in to stop downloading added. This will be a growing collection of photos of Joan and my morning walks.
July 4, 2018 I finally got around to integrating the new plug in for Indigo to integrate with Alexa. Still working through a few issues trying to control items that are not actual lights. A few lights that I set up and one light scene work GREAT. Alexa, turn on Kitchen Turns on the Kitchen florescent light, and Alexa, turn […]
July brings us a few photos from Santa Cruze Natural Bridge. Like the photographs of the San Francisco bridge, these were taken on the same business trip. I wanted to drop by the place that was the birth of Santa Cruz Operation (SCO). A software company based in Santa Cruz, California which was best known for selling three Unix variants […]

This should not be confused with a herring, or a herring choker (A native or resident of any of the Maritime Provinces but especially used in reference to people from New Brunswick. Or Norway.) The large photo Joan and I took on a bike ride […]
This month features some of my favorite photos. In Late 2016 I got an email from Jeff Griffith, the creative director for the Civil War Trust who produce a magazine ‘Hallowed Ground’. He wanted to know if I would be willing to donate one of my photos to be published in an up coming issue. This was that photo; It […]
The story behind the image, April Let us have a closer look at life. Macrophotography Macro photography is extreme close up of usually small things. First question is why is it no Micro? Well unlike economics where Macro is the whole, and micro is looking close at an individual contributor, Micro photography is extremely close (microscope). Though the photos from macrophotography, bring […]
Still do not think it is worth a generator. Looks like with still 230,000 customers out we will have another dark night, and the refrigerator will need to be cleared out, but how much is that? $200 every year or so? It is not like I would have TV Internet and heat from a portable generator, that generator would be […]
