Power out, again

The power went out last night around 8:30 due to an accident on Business route 7.

According the Sheriff’s Office tweet, “W. Main Street near Simmons Road (between Purcellville and Round Hill) will be closed for a significant period of time due to a single vehicle crash involving a utility pole. Utility crews from @DomEnergyVA are on scene and power outages are reported in the area.”

My friend’s son was 3 cars back from the accident (he is ok).

I do wish that Dominion Power would have a secondary feed to this neighborhood. We have lived here since 2002, and this is a common event that the single power line goes down. It feels like an extension cord that people keep tripping over and I loose power.

The frustrating part is that the REST of my street has power. A few years ago this was the case for 2 days.

At least the boys got a good night sleep with no electronics…. or only their LTE phones.
