With the ‘Canadian’s’ in town we did a second Washington DC trip. This time a Monument and Georgetown (cupcake) tour. A few photo of the day. I had fun taking a few of Ryan taking photos… I planned on taking long exposure shots with the waterfalls at the Roosevelt Memorial, and had fun adding in Jacob.
The National Zoo This month is a few shots from the Smithsonian Nation Zoo in Washington DC. The main photo is for Lori, as she does love Elephants. This zoo does as good as a job as any can for an animal in captivity, with create areas from the to walk around. The Smaller photos are of the big […]
In August each year Cisco holds it’s world wide sales conference in Las Vegas. This year I went out a day early and did a power trip to see Bryce Canyon in Utah. Up at 5am EDT and to the airport (thank you Joan), and off to Las Vegas, arriving at 10:30am PDT (1:30 EDT). Get a car and off […]
Good day today walking around the Capital with Shelly, Ryan and Joan. We did the library of congress again, and this time the Capital Building and got to see inside the Supreme Court.
August is kind of a slow lazy month and so is this calendar’s page. The main picture is from the time on Santa Cruz beach, Also the small one on the right was from the final sun set. The smaller photo is from the salt water marsh by Fremont CA, taken on the same trip as last month’s Calendar Picture […]
Out for a quick walk tonight with Joan and the Dogs. Using the new Leica D-LUX. GREAT carry around camera, and a big Thank YOU to ACEPHOTO for not only the help understanding what I was getting before the purchase, but for having it in stock. Amazon is great, but not as good as dropping into a local camera store and […]
July brings us a few photos from Santa Cruze Natural Bridge. Like the photographs of the San Francisco bridge, these were taken on the same business trip. I wanted to drop by the place that was the birth of Santa Cruz Operation (SCO). A software company based in Santa Cruz, California which was best known for selling three Unix variants […]
This months photos are of the Blue Heron, common over most of North America. This should not be confused with a herring, or a herring choker (A native or resident of any of the Maritime Provinces but especially used in reference to people from New Brunswick. Or Norway.) The large photo Joan and I took on a bike ride […]
This month features some of my favorite photos. In Late 2016 I got an email from Jeff Griffith, the creative director for the Civil War Trust who produce a magazine ‘Hallowed Ground’. He wanted to know if I would be willing to donate one of my photos to be published in an up coming issue. This was that photo; It […]
