Sharp Top Trail

Joan and I visited this location when we were  traveling Franklin Co, VA on August 2, 2015. We were on a road trip to see the sites mentioned in The Wettest County in the World, by Matt Bondurant, and found Peak Of Otter Lodge on the web, and planned this to be the stop for the night so that we can enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway and the Sky Line Drive. Joan researched the area and picked a good trail to walk in the evening.

The Sharp Top Trail is 1.5 mile aggressive climb. The sites are breath taking, and so is the hike, as in, I had a hard time breathing it was that tough of a climb. Climbing 1,600ft in 1.5 miles take many steps and my fit bit recorded over 150 stories.

The photos that I took were with a Nikon D7200 and a rented AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II lens.
